For her second season as Creative Director of Clark's, Martine Rose revisits her concept of proportions and pattern. Her work continues to question traditional beauty ideals through fine construction and over-exaggerated proportions.
Like a puffer jacket or Erwin Wurm's famous 'Fat Car' the bulbous silhouette of Rose's modified Oxford Shoe is a sight to behold. Constructed from a supple sheepskin leather, the padding is achieved by stuffing the panels with soft duck down.
True to the way they look, these shoes are incredibly comfy. This isn't just because of the down padding, instead it's also part-and-parcel when it comes to Clark's famously comfortable shoes. The rubber outsole—trimmed with more leather—offers amazing cushioning and support.
